Welcome to our web site! We're so glad you stopped by.
So who is the Prowell family band? It's Scott (dad) and Cynthia (mom), with daughters Sadie (13) and Emma (11). We started out from Lenexa, Kansas, in 2007 and have traveled around the country in our motorhome, doing volunteer work at churches and camps, and frequently playing music specials at local churches. In January of 2010, we officially started our family band. Now our primary focus is to play concerts at churches, retirement centers, RV parks, and festivals. We feel that this is our call - that Music is our Mission!
Our style is acoustic Gospel - some a little more bluegrass and some a little more contemporary - with a message to lift up and encourage - with Scott on mandolin, banjo, guitar, and vocals; Cynthia on upright bass and vocals; Sadie on guitar, mandolin, and vocals; and Emma on fiddle, mandolin, and vocals.
Our concerts feature our own original music that we have been writing on the road. Our church and gospel events usually include our testimony of how God has lead us to this point, along with some visual demonstrations that Sadie and Emma do that appeal to all ages.

For certain venues we incorporate more traditional bluegrass, familiar cowboy tunes, and sometimes a visit from Sister Mary Bernadette with her splash of humor.
